How to Place a Sportswear Order: A Buyer’s Checklist
An order inquiry is easier to evaluate when the product choices and open questions are gathered in one place. Use this sequence to prepare a practical brief.

You do not need a finished technical pack to start a conversation. You do need to show what is decided, what is a reference, and what still needs to be discussed. Keep one brief per style or coordinated range so the quote discussion stays connected to the right details.
A clear path from idea to order discussion
- 01
Name the product and use
Identify the garment or kit, who will wear it, and the activity or sales channel it is intended for.
- 02
Share specifications
Attach a tech pack, product reference, measurements, fabric targets, color references, and construction notes you already have.
- 03
Map customization
Include artwork files, logo placement, numbering, names, trims, labels, and packaging notes. Mark any detail that is still flexible.
- 04
Set the size and quantity plan
List sizes and quantities by style. Ask about MOQ for the selected products and confirm how size breakdowns affect the order.
- 05
Discuss sample and approval needs
State what you need to inspect and which fit, color, print, or construction points need approval before an order moves ahead.
- 06
Share the destination
Name the destination country or delivery region and provide packaging or shipping requirements for the order conversation.

Separate confirmed details from open questions
For each line in your brief, mark it as confirmed, reference only, or to be discussed. A reference image may show a silhouette or color direction without defining the fabric, construction, or final placement. Clear labels reduce avoidable assumptions.
Before you send the inquiry
- Put the target market and delivery destination on the brief.
- Attach editable artwork and state the version or file name to review.
- List quantities per style and size, plus your expected range if still undecided.
- Ask about MOQ, sample options, costs, production planning, and shipping terms directly.
- Record who will review samples and approve each open specification.
